The Tipp City Public Library Kicks Off Centennial Birthday with Winter Reading Challenge

Information provided by the Tipp City Public Library

TIPP CITY — The Tipp City Library turns 100 years old in 2023. To kick off the yearlong celebration, the library has set a goal of enlisting 100 families to participate in the 2023 Winter Reading Challenge sponsored by Beanstack. The theme to this year’s challenge is entitled, “All the Feels” and will focus on recognizing and practicing expressing our emotions. The challenge will begin on January 1 and conclude on January 31.

Progress can be tracked on our Beanstack site HERE or on the Beanstack mobile app. This year we will use a BINGO card format, which can be accessed on Beanstack, or you can come into the library to pick up a paper bingo card beginning Dec. 27. If you choose to do the activities on the Bingo card in addition to reading, you’ll earn a “coverall” and be eligible for more raffle tickets toward our Grand Prize Raffle the first week in February. More information will be available in January on the prizes you can win.

The Tipp City Library will also be hosting a free private ice skating party for those individuals who have read at least one book by Friday, January 13 th . The skating party will take place at Hobart Arena on Saturday, January 14th from 4:15-5:45 p.m. Adults and siblings who do not wish to skate will be permitted free entry.

Registration may be completed by going HERE, the Beanstack app or by call the Tipp City Public Library if you need any assistance getting started.
