Homemade at Susie’s Big Dipper in Downtown Piqua
PIQUA – Susie’s Big Dipper is a small town ice cream shop and café that specializes in using as many natural ingredients as possible to make homemade ice cream, soups and sandwiches. This includes a popular chicken salad sandwich and the Susie Q (it’s like a Maid-Rite), both pictured here. The café also has BBQ pulled pork and shredded chicken sandwiches, paninis, salads and more.
Along with a variety of different ice cream flavors, including seasonal flavors, the café has frozen bananas, homemade chocolate brownies, cookies and ice cream sandwiches, as well as sundaes, shakes and malts and more. Ice cream and frozen soups can be purchased on the go. Soups include potato bacon cheddar, clam chowder, vegetable beef and chili.
On Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. the café serves Angus burgers and locally made bratwursts, which they cook out on their back patio.
Regular hours are 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 2-8 p.m. Sunday. Susie’s Big Dipper is located at 323 N. Main St. and can be reached at (937) 615-0700. See the full menu at www.susiesbigdipper.com. Look for their food truck at many public events throughout Miami County and the surrounding area. They also offer catering. Follow them at Susie's Big Dipper.
