31st Annual Piqua Fine Art Exhibition Winners Announced

Information provided

PIQUA - Piqua Arts Council is thrilled to announce the winners of the highly anticipated and long-running Piqua Fine Art Exhibition. The 31st annual show brought together talented artists from all across the state, and showcased some of the best works the area has seen. After careful consideration by the esteemed judge, Chuck Marshall, we are proud to reveal the outstanding artists who have claimed the top honors in this year’s competition.

PAC’s Annual Piqua Fine Art Exhibit celebrates the diversity and vibrancy of the art world, highlighting 6 categories: drawing, oil & acrylics, water media, photography, 3-dimensional and miscellaneous. The exhibit is one of the only non-juried shows in the area, and it continues to proudly serve as the largest of its kind across the entire Miami Valley. This year’s show has proven to be record-breaking yet again, with its display of more than 250 works of art and nearly 150 featured artists.

Participating artists, community members, sponsors, families and friends all gathered at Apple Tree Gallery on Thursday, September 7 as the well-deserved awards were handed out to the individual behind each hand-picked work of art. It was a wonderful night of artistry, camaraderie, and celebration of the arts and their makers.

“I want to thank Piqua Arts Council for allowing me the honor of being the judge for this year’s show,” says Chuck Marshall. “As with any competition, it’s always hard to assign awards. But, in particular, this was a tough one to judge because the show had such a variety of categories that had excellent work in each category…for me, great art is the evidence of an intellectual pursuit. When picking the top awards, I was forced to pick all [artistic objectives] plus preference…Because you all [participating artists] put your best effort creating your art, I gave my best effort in being your judge. Congratulations to the award winners and all the artists for their great work.”

Piqua Arts Council extends its heartfelt congratulations to all of the winners and expresses its gratitude to all the artists who participating in the 31st Annual Piqua Fine Art Exhibition.
