MIAMI COUNTY - Miami County has moved to an Orange #2 COVID-19 risk level. This is due to Miami County meeting criteria for three of the seven Alert Indicators. Miami County is no longer considered a high incidence area as cases are now below 100 per 100,000 people for a two-week period. Indicators met include:

- 50+ cases /100,000 population within last two weeks
- More than 50% of new cases are from non-congregate care living
- COVID-19 like Emergency Department Trajectory increase over a 5-day period

The Orange #2 COVID-19 Risk level indicates increased exposure and spread of COVID-19. Community members are advised to exercise a high degree of caution.

Since April 16th, 2021, there have been 104 new COVID-19 cases which brings the total number of cases in Miami County to 10,629, with 566 hospitalizations, 215 deaths, and 10,236 presumed recovered.
