West Milton Fourth of July Festival 

June 28-July 4

The biggest Independence Day event in Miami County, the West Milton Fourth of July Festival will take place Friday evening, June 28 through July 4 at West Milton Community Park. The event features large carnival rides and games, BINGO a parade on the Fourth of July, live music, great food, vendors and more. Admission is free. Fireworks are at dusk on July 4 at West Milton Community Park. The Rocket Dogs will perform at 6 p.m. on July 4 and Annie the Highway Cow will stop by from 3:30-7:30 p.m. that day.

Piqua 4th Fest l July 4

Live music, family activities, food trucks, vendors and more highlight this year’s Piqua 4th Fest, taking place from noon to 9:30 p.m. on July 4, with fireworks at 10 p.m. Bands performing include Summer Highway, Deuce’n a Quarter, Dayton Salsa Project and Noah Back. Additionally, the Piqua Civic Band will perform at 2 p.m. in the Fort Piqua Plaza Ballroom. For more information, click HERE.


4th of July Parade in Troy l July 4
The Miami Valley Veterans Museum Independence Day parade will take place at 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 4 in Troy. Honored are Purple Heart Veterans on the MVVM float, and additional veterans and officials riding in classic cars and convertibles. The parade will proceed down Market Street to the center of town, out West Main to Monroe Street. The color guard will be provided by the American Legion. All marchers will be accompanied by Troy Christian High School band. Mickey & Minnie Mouse and Uncle Sam, Wendy, & Little Caesar will be in attendance for the kids. Classic cars, fire trucks, kids on bikes, clowns and various other units will fill the Troy July 4th tradition of this hometown favorite.  

Epic Eagles Tribute Concert in Troy l July 4
The Eagles tribute band Epic Eagles will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 4 at Treasure Island in Troy. The show is free. Bring a lawn chair for seating.

July 4
During the Annual West Milton Fourth of July Festival, The Rocket Dogs band will perform at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 4. The show is free.

Bicentennial Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks in Sidney l
July 4
SIDNEY – Ring in Shelby County’s 200th birthday with a special performance by the Sidney Civic Band, followed by an enhanced fireworks display at dusk.

Liberty Days in Fort Loramie l
July 5-7
This festival offers carnival rides, sporting challenges, live music, fireworks (on Friday at 10 p.m.), BINGO, tractor pulls, trivia, BBQ chicken dinners and lots of other food and entertainment and will take place from 5 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Friday, July 5; 11 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Saturday, July 6; and 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 7. Independence Day Weekend at Poor Farmer’s Campground in Fletcher l July 5-7

Freedom Days Picnic in Celina l July 5-7
This three-day festival at Grand Lake St. Marys in Celina features a huge selection of live music, pontoon boat rides, pony rides, food and beer tents, a Veteran’s Salute, inflatable and mechanical rides and the Grand Fireworks at 10 p.m. Saturday over the lake. It takes place 4-11 p.m. Friday, July 5; 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, July 6; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 7. See the full schedule HERE.

Spend a day at the lake and then watch fireworks at dusk on July 5 at Hueston Woods State Park.

Beach Spectacular and Fireworks at Indian Lake l
July 6
This family festival on Saturday, July 6 at Old Field Beach at Indian Lake includes pageants (such as Beach Baby and Miss Indian Lake and Miss Firecracker), the Indian Lake’s Got Talent competition, a  car show, food, swimming, games, and, at 10 p.m., a fireworks display over Indian Lake. Admission is free.

The Christiansburg Fire Department will present a fireworks display and waterball (where they use their fire hoses to keep a ball in the air) at dusk on Sunday, July 7.
