PIQUA — On Tuesday, November 17th, the Rotary Club of Piqua, Ohio awarded Nancy Spillane (pictured below), the Piqua Public Library’s Children's Department Coordinator, the Cheryl Francis Pride in Workmanship award. The Rotary has given this award for the past twenty years.
The Pride of Workmanship is an approved Rotary project instigated in 1975 by the Rotary Club of Pennant Hills (Australia, District 9680). The Pride of Workmanship Program enables managers in our society to help employees achieve the goal of job satisfaction, and publicly recognize them for their efforts. Participating businesses promote the Pride of Workmanship theme of "Do it once- do it well" throughout their organization and nominate employees worthy of recognition, not only within the organization but the wider community. Nominees of the Pride of Workmanship Program are presented with a trophy in recognition of their achievements.
The Piqua Public Library is proud of Nancy and appreciates her forty-five years of service to the library and to our community.
