Sheriff's Seek Witnesses to Fatal Crash in Troy
TROY - The Miami County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation of a fatal crash that occurred at the intersection of State Route 41 and Washington Road in Concord Township on Monday.
The crash was reported at 12:31 p.m. The Sheriff's crash reconstruction team has preliminarily determined that a 2004 Buick sedan operated by Melinda S. Flory (age 61), of Covington, was traveling north on Washington Road and was in the middle of the intersection when struck by a 2010 Toyota Scion traveling east on State Route 41 and operated by Rachel B. Davis (age 25), of Piqua. Troy Fire Department Medics attempted resuscitation of Mrs. Flory, however she was later pronounced at the scene. Davis had no apparent injuries; however she was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center by Troy F.D. Medics to be checked.
The Sheriff's Department is requesting that anyone who may have witnessed the crash to please call Deputy Todd Tennant at (937) 440-6085 Ext. 7009 or the Miami County Communication’s Center at (937) 440-9911.  The crash remains under investigation.
